Microchipping

Safe, Simple, & Reassuring

Each year thousands of pets go missing and don’t make it back home. A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that significantly increases the chance you will be reunited with your pet.

A microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice. It is routinely injected under the skin between the shoulder blades. Microchip implantation takes only a few minutes, is very safe, and causes minimal discomfort. After your pet receives his or her chip, our receptionists will gather information from you and will immediately register your pet online with the National Pet Recovery Database.

Should your pet become separated from you, a quick scan of the chip reveals your pets’ unique identification number, enabling your pet to be quickly returned. Pets of all ages can benefit from this technology.
